About Agropan

A Agropan was founded in 1970 in response to the need of rural producers in the region who needed a safe place to store grain and make sales. The Cooperative arose from the initiative of more than a hundred local rural producers and the expansion of agriculture in Rio Grande do Sul during the years 1950-1975, when both the cultivable area and the quantity produced increased dramatically.

The "Charqueada Velha", which belonged to Colonel Marcial Terra and was chosen for the first time as the Cooperative's headquarters, was situated in an area strategically located for both receiving and distributing goods: on the opposite side of the highway.

Agropan expanded its operational area in the years that followed, building new units and buying up existing ones both in the city of Tupanciretã and in the surrounding region. But it was in the 2000s that the Cooperative finally established itself on the national market as one of the largest agribusiness companies, with the support of its members and employees.

Credibility has become the company's trademark as a result of its commitment to its core values and the seriousness with which its business operations have been conducted, making the company one of the biggest national highlights within the segment in which it operates. Agropan currently has fifteen business units and more than three hundred employees, who together make the company grow more and more.
