About Adeste
In 1952, friends Kratschmer and Kienast met again in Brazil and saw the possibility of investing in the sausage market, which at the time was little explored. That's how they started the company, bringing mushrooms to Brazil for stuffing sausages, as well as offering customers customized solutions for meat additives. 3 years later, a combination of technology and manufacturing needs created another company, dedicated to the production of natural bovine intestine casings.
9 years later, they thought of a new way to use the bovine plasma membranes extracted during the process. Until their creative eye spotted the possibility of putting this element to a new use, so they started producing strings for tennis rackets, entering into a partnership with a French company based in the city of Araçatuba, which was already familiar with the product.
However, in the mid-1990s, they began using this technology and serosa to create surgical sutures, giving the company its debut in the healthcare sector.
