About Multilab
The company started its activities with just three employees in the 14 square meter production room, where teas and herbs are produced. The first industrial plant has an area of 1,200 square meters and employs 30 people. Production has also been diversified, with the company launching the first similar medicine in capsule and tablet form and expanding its marketing to serve all the states in the Southern Region.
The factory structure is already insufficient. It is necessary to plan a new plant, which will have to be its own, with sufficient size, structure and physical area to meet current production needs and future expansion, as well as all the new requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices, which are being implemented by ANVISA (National Health Surveillance Agency).
In the early 2000s, the company launched two main products: the antigrip Multigrip and the antiulcer Lozeprel. To this day, these products are market leaders in their category. In February, Multilab opened a new 50,000 square meter factory in São Jerônimo, 75 kilometers from Porto Alegre.
